Enterprise Web Development with ASP
Define and deliver security solutions and services across desktop, server and platform infrastructure. Includes delivering a roadmap for security products and services, defining the toolset used, setting standards and building automation.
Provide overall technical direction for the implementation and support of critical security products and services to the wider Operations team in addition to working with the Pre-Sales, IT and Professional Services teams to ensure both customer and internal management systems and infrastructure are designed and implemented to appropriate security standards.
Ensure compliance to relevant standards, both operational (i.e. ISO 27001, 9001) and security (i.e. CIS, STIG, ISO/IEC) and ensure we are able to control, report and adequately measure and handle risks the business faces.
Manage and develop staff within the team, defining the training and development plan including improving the overall knowledge of systems, infrastructure and processes. Ensure the team delivers outstanding services and meets or exceeds the agreed SLA’s.
Feed into and deliver to the Capex and Opex Budget. Review and optimise current costs and achieve cost saving through agreed means such as consolidation.
Ensure effective controls are implemented and developed to provide an excellent asset and licence management service.
Ensure the team manages their respective ITSM queues and actively provide support and mentorship for team members, including effectively resolving P1 and P2 incidents, managing planned work and small project work to a high standard and adhering to ITIL best practice including Problem Management. Ensure that resource within the team is allocated efficiently and recorded appropriately.
Actively participate in the Technical Architecture Group (TAG); a forum of peers defining and driving standards to manage and optimise the services.
Work closely with Pre-Sales, Implementation Resources and Project Managers to on-board new clients through the defined Service Take on (STO) process.
Working as part of the Cloud & Dedicated Platform team to:
Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for server infrastructure and assist other teams on any infrastructure issues
Manage production server environments – Analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data, recommending solutions
Technically manage the design and implementation of solutions with the exception of those which are high risk/large scale
Highlight all technical risks so that any of Advanced 365’s exposure to commercial loss can be minimised
Designing and implementation of DR solution for existing and new customers
Conduct and report root cause investigate for infrastructure and applications issues to senior management

Support and maintain all business application software and services including Office 2003/2010, Filesite, Envision, Workshare, Laserforms, Bighand, Kappris, Safend, Mimecast
Undertake major upgrades to infrastructure and server business applications, including hardware renewal and new system implementation e.g. Desktop replacement, Migration from Exchange 2003 to 2007, Migration from McAfee AV to Trend AV, Upgrade, migration and virtualisation of Envision and internal Intranet
Undertake system monitoring to ensure the security and stability of the systems to maintain integrity & availability
Assist in the operation and supervision of a helpdesk facility for users throughout the firm, providing 3rd line helpdesk support and backup for 1st/2nd line helpdesk as required
Assist in the design of new infrastructure and systems including Kappris print management, Safend port and device control, scanning solution using Xerox MFDs and NSI Autostore and new office cabling
Configure and deploy new user software configurations including the upgrade to Office 2010, Filesite 8.5, Workshare 7.5, Bighand 3.5 as well as the deployment strategy itself using Microsoft imaging and deployment methods
Undertake development on stand-alone systems and integration of existing systems including the development of a bespoke Intranet and Extranet based on Filesite
Research into new software and hardware requirements including Mobile Device Management, internal wireless deployment using Meraki technology, secure document collaboration, distribution and integration with Filesite using Workshare
Keeping up to date with new IT developments, formulating ideas and bringing such matters to the attention of the Head of IT
Assist in data management
